atomic cathedral
by preston poe and doug flint
Atomic Cathedral reflects upon the use of media in the 20th/21st century. A sculptural array of video picture tubes accompany a powerful sonic environment. A soundtrack of machinery whirring and manipulating data, once inaudible has now become overwhelming. A sea of destruction, Ground Zero, lies below. The machines have emerged in a dominant state of being.

The exhibition occurred in two stages: Stage One - experimental/ambient improvisational music performed and recorded in the space. Stage Two- recorded sound was layered, looped, reversed and manipulated to synchronized video motion graphics.

Installed at Satellite Gallery in a cooperative exhibit with Doug Flint and Kyle Hester, December 31st, 2005 - January 21st, 2006.
