riverine
by preston poe
Riverine was installed as seven video monitors each playing a "piece" of stream. They were submerged in river rocks in a river bed that flowed through the gallery. Sound was an important element in this piece as the serenity of the water contrasted with the typical fuzz associated with the television monitor. As a viewer moved between monitors, the sound would audibly mix from one location of the "stream" to the next.
